Head of Delivery Practices

Promise Group is a leading Microsoft partner in CEE region, offering a wide range of products and services for clients from various economic sectors, including finance, telecommunications, media, energy, manufacturing, trade, services, public administration, education, and healthcare. Promise Group specializes in software licensing optimization, IT systems design, implementation, maintenance, and business application development. 

We are looking for an experienced Head of Delivery Practices to lead and develop our customer-facing technology practices and ensure they operate effectively. 

In this role, you will lead two technological practices: Cloud and Data, AI & Applications practices, working closely with Heads of Practice, technical leaders, Project Management, Sales, Operations, and other business functions. 

Your mission will be to turn the company's Delivery strategy into clear priorities and execution plans for practices, strengthen delivery excellence, develop our capabilities, and ensure that our practices deliver strong customer value and commercial results. 

This is a strategic leadership role combining people leadership, operational excellence, commercial performance, technical leadership, and organizational development. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and align the Cloud and Data, AI & Applications practicessupporting their growth and maturity. Translate the overall Delivery strategy into clear practice priorities, roadmaps, operating plans, and execution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Heads of Practice and technical leaders, ensuring clear accountability and strong leadership.
  • Drive delivery excellence, ensuring high-quality, predictable, and efficient delivery across projects and services.
  • Establish and maintain common delivery standards, governance principles, methodologies, and performance expectations.
  • Own and monitor key practice KPIs, including revenue, margin, utilization, productivity, quality, capability readiness, technical quality, and Managed Services performance.
  • Oversee the practices' portfolio, capacity, and capability planning, ensuring the right skills and resources are available to meet customer demand.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, ways of working, tools, and governance.
  • Support the development of scalable, repeatable, and commercially viable services and offerings together with Practice Heads and Sales.
  • Support strategic customer engagements, bids, proposals, and complex opportunities.
  • Strengthen collaboration between practices and enable effective delivery of multidisciplinary customer solutions.
  • Identify and address capability gaps, delivery risks, dependencies, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Build capability roadmaps covering skills, certifications, hiring, development, and partner requirements.
  • Develop career paths, competency models, succession plans, and leadership capabilities across the practices.
  • Work closely with Sales, Solution Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, Marketing, and other functions to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Represent Delivery practices in selected strategic customer, partner, and internal leadership discussions. 

Our Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an IT services or technology organization. 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Solutions.
  • Experience managing and developing multiple technology teams, practices, or business units.
  • Strong understanding of IT services delivery, including projects, Managed Services, utilization, profitability, quality, and capacity management.
  • Experience managing senior technology leaders, such as Heads of Practice, Engineering Managers, Practice Leads, or similar roles.
  • Strong commercial understanding and experience managing or influencing revenue, margin, utilization, and delivery performance.
  • Experience building capability roadmaps and planning skills, certifications, hiring, and development to meet future customer demand.
  • Strong understanding of technology delivery and the ability to engage confidently with technical leaders and architects.
  • Experience working with Sales and supporting customer opportunities, proposals, bids, or pre-sales activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-team collaboration and organizational change.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively with senior leadership and customers.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a strong focus on execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent English communication skills; experience working in an international environment is an advantage.
